Grumpy!

Whew! Boy, am I Guuurumpy - in fact, I've been this way for the last few days...I hate this feeling. I wonder if I'm the only one that gets this way. I mean, it's like what it would be if I got up, stumbled to the Keurig and realized there were no Kcups after getting only 3 hours of sleep, it's like putting on three pairs of nylons and all of them having "runs" in them and you didn't shave, it's like having a major presentation to give for work and sleeping thru your alarm, it's like taking 40 minutes to straighten your super curly hair and you get stuck in a downpour before your first appointment for work, it's like saving that leftover from dinner the night before, looking forward to getting into it alllllday and realizing that your husband scarfed it 2 minutes before you walk thru the door...you get the picture...it's just silly stupid things that are bugging me!!!

Anywhooo...I started thinking that it would be awesome to have the carefree attitude and no responsibility innocence that a little kid enjoys. Children get excited over the simplest things in life, they get excited to experience and learn new things, they open their hearts, in most cases, very quickly to new friends and new surroundings. They don't sweat the small stuff - bottom line.

I read Matthew chapter 5 this morning and it talks about the law in the Old Testament stating one thing and that we should yet go the extra mile and go above and beyond the law (it says don't kill in the law, yet Matthew 5 says don't even get angry with your brother, for example)....at the end of the chapter in verse 45 is says...."To show that you are the children of your Father Who is in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the wicked and on the good, and makes the rain fall upon the upright and the wrongdoers {alike}".

Alexxis, Jordan and Matt - football in the rain this last Sunday

Just dancing in the rain....

Guess it's time to get the galooshes out (is that how you spell the word that means super cute rain boats, that now when I think about, would be a great addition to my shoe/boot collection?!? I think it might!!!)..I just chased a rabbit there, let's try this again - guess it's time to buy some galooshes, put them on, jump around in the mud puddle, dance in the rain and enjoy the mess because this child of God is feeling like my attitude is a little stormy. The great thing about being a kid is that I know I can go inside, get washed up, peer out the window and wait it out because the sun will shine soon enough again....it always does!!
